Bari Japigia Shopping Mall, Italy
The new shopping mall in the southern Italian coastal town Bari is very popular with visitors, not only because of its diverse shopping facilities but also because of the playground that has been integrated into the outside area and where children of all ages can play together. A climbing structure with an integrated hammock invites visitors to balance and relax and the jumping discs and swings are also a lot of fun. The playing house in the shape of a fish is especially appealing to small children as a place of retreat and for role-playing games. The large tower and platform combination with coloured elements and, above all, its distinctly shaped roof make this striking structure visible from afar and immediately sparks curiosity. The towers, built on stilts, which Richter Spielgeräte GmbH also constructed in a similar design for the Ringling Museum in Sarasota/USA, feature several playing levels and viewing platforms. These are connected with net tunnels and bridges and stimulate children to play a whole range of active games and get engaged in imaginative role-playing. The winding tunnel slide allow a quick getaway to the ground.
