Our idea Crafts & materials Designer - Christian Huba

Christian Huba

Sculptor
Portrait Christian HubaThe animals that I design roughly life-size, I work from strong larch trunks. I alleviate the process of uncontrolled crack formation by relieving cuts in the middle of the trunk and partial gutting. The larch trees I cut are stubborn, which is not surprising considering that they had to withstand storms at high altitudes in the mountains. Their wood is weather-hard and has a great grain, but therefore eccentric in character. It's a living piece of nature. - Christian Huba
