After completing his apprenticeship working with metal castings in 1993, Markus Sommer studied design at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee (university of arts) and graduated with a diploma in product design in 2003.
He has held a teaching position in the master’s programme “Museum Management and Communication” at the Berlin University of Applied Science since 2009 and also works for Andreas Heller Architects & Designers in Hamburg.
