Jubilee Gardens, London / England
Ideal place for families and children to slow down
Landmark of a busy area with different levels of risk
The South Bank is one of the most visited areas of London, and visitors from all over the world flock here to enjoy the attractions. In the shadow of the London Eye and just around the corner from Big Ben is the Jubilee Gardens playground.
The playground is a clear landmark and provides the ideal place for families and children to slow down. There is plenty of seating for adults who need a break, and a huge climbing combination that challenges kids and teens to climb from one end to the other. The equipment was chosen to accommodate many children at once, and it also offers different levels of risk so children can find their own limits. The playground was opened as part of the Queen's Golden Jubilee celebrations in 2012 and was designed by the renowned Rotterdam architectural firm West 8. In the summer of 2022, the playground was equipped with additional Richter play equipment such as a bouncy flower and a play ship.
