Ships in the middle of India's metropolis
Challenge: playground installation on roof terrace
In the center of the Indian metropolis of Mumbai, a generously designed playground has been available since 2018. The water play area with various channel and dam elements as well as Archimedean screws invites young and old children to play with the elements. On the billowing ship and the small sailing boat you can dive into role play, on the different hammocks you can sit, lie and talk in a relaxed way, and the hut combination is ideal for climbing and hiding. However, the two large ships with sand play areas in the bow are undoubtedly the attractive center of the play area. Here, sailors, captains and pirates can let off steam to their hearts' content. Another highlight is the arched bridge, visible from afar, which invites you to balance and connects the play areas.
What is particularly exciting is that the playground was mounted on a roof terrace on the 6th floor of a building. The project was therefore particularly technically complex and a challenge for the statics and ground anchoring.
